About
Matt, Bear and Jason
We want to thank you for following our journey! Jason, our Chocolate Lab Bear, and I (Matt) are so excited to be opening CampOut Alabama later this year! Just to give you a little bit about us, we are relocating to Alabama from Chicago, where we have been living for the past couple of years. We met in Chicago and hit it off at first “hello.” Jason and I both grew up in Iowa, and miss the slower pace the country has to offer. Jason has made his living as a teacher and farmer. I made my career as a Property Manager. While working full time, both dabbled in house flipping together. Our favorite thing to do is unwind by the campfire, drink a bit too much, and travel around in our camper.
In July 2017, we stumbled upon a former gay campground that had been abandoned and up for sale. Days later, the three of us jumped in our truck, drove down, and fell in love. After recovering from a bee attack, and drying off the tit sweat, we made an offer, and it was accepted. We quit our jobs, sold our condo, and not so fearlessly are heading down to pursue our dream. We thank you for coming along for the ride! We will keep you all updated on the good, the bad, and the meltdowns… We hope to see you at our first campfire!
